The instrument is built on rigid and heavy metallic base plate. The instrument is designed in compliance with the standards ASTM D618, D883, D1894 ,TAPPI 815 and TAPPI T549 . The device is provided complete with the electrical wiring diagram, instruction manual and calibration certificate.

The major cause of the increase in the friction is the development of the uneven thickness of sheets that causes unequal distribution of the strength of the sheets.
